At Bill Colwell Ford, we have always believed that a dealership's responsibility extends far beyond the lot. Fill a 50 is one of the ways we live that out — and this April, Hudson reminded us exactly why we do it.

For the entire month of April, we collected donations right here at the dealership on behalf of Cedar Valley Hospitality House — the only daytime homeless shelter in the Cedar Valley. The goal was simple: fill the bed of an F-150 with essential supplies for people in our community who need them most. When the month was over, that truck was packed to the brim.

This year's drive was made even more special by the incredible efforts of the Hudson National Honor Society. These students took it upon themselves to go door to door throughout the Hudson community, distributing donation bags directly to homes and encouraging their neighbors to give. Their initiative, heart, and dedication to serving others elevated this entire campaign — and Cedar Valley Hospitality House is better off because of it. We could not be more proud of them.

To every customer, neighbor, and friend who dropped off supplies at the dealership or shipped items through our Amazon wish list — thank you. What you gave is already making a difference in the lives of real people right here in the Cedar Valley.

Cedar Valley Hospitality House serves hundreds of individuals each year, providing shelter, dignity, advocacy, and support for those experiencing homelessness. They are doing vital work in our community every single day. To learn more about their mission, visit cedarvalleyhospitalityhouse.net.

Fill a 50 works because Hudson shows up. Every single year, without fail.
