There’s something about the classic look and sound of a Ford Mustang that never gets old. However, even a classic still has room for updates and upgrades, which is why many new Ford models feature the innovative and intuitive Ford SYNC® 4 infotainment system. What makes this feature extra-special?
What Is Ford SYNC®?
SYNC® is the Ford brand’s infotainment system. It provides fast and intuitive access to climate control, hands-free phone calls, navigation, and proprietary apps. Another key feature is smartphone mirroring via Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, so the touchscreen “mirrors” what you see on your phone, and you don’t have to hunt for your favorite apps.
The Ford SYNC® 4 Difference
SYNC® 4 is capable of handling all those legacy features, but also offers some helpful new tweaks:
- Over-the-air updates for constant improvement
- Cloud-based connectivity
- Support for optional Connected Navigation
- Wireless smartphone mirroring
- SiriusXM® with 360L for personalized satellite radio
- Natural voice recognition that minimizes distracted driving
- Improved integration with the FordPass™ app ecosystem
Models Equipped with SYNC® 4
SYNC® 4 was introduced in the 2021 Ford Bronco and 2021 Mustang Mach-E. It's available to nearly every 2022 Ford model and will make encore appearances in a number of 2023 models as well. Bear in mind, however, that not every trim features SYNC® 4; as with any upgrade, your Ford dealer serving Waterloo will guide you to the trim that has the features you're looking for.
Power, Reliability, Tech, and More
Depending how you look at it, "They don't build 'em like they used to" can be a lament, or an opportunity. We think it's the latter, since today's Ford models are more advanced, more reliable, and even more fun, than ever before. Why not come to Bill Colwell Ford today to see what’s new?
