Here at Bill Colwell Ford in Hudson, IA, we have a variety of great new Ford vehicles featuring the Ford SYNC® technology. When it comes to entertainment and convenience, the Ford SYNC system lets you stay connected through a variety of options.

What is SYNC?

SYNC is an in-vehicle communication and entertainment system that comes installed before you even purchase your new Ford vehicle. This system will let you connect your smartphone, make phone calls, control music and more--all controlled by your voice. There’s a built-in USB port where you can connect your phone that also charges your phone while connected. With certain phones, the SYNC system can read your incoming text messages to you aloud.

SYNC Features:

l  Mobile integration

l  Audible text messages

l  Caller ID

l  Conference calling

l  Music control

How to Use SYNC

1. Pair your phone to SYNC by pressing the “Phone” button on SYNC’s center console. Locate the “Add Bluetooth® Devices” option and press “OK” so you can pair to your phone. Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on so it can pair.

2. Upload your contacts. Make sure your media player is also connected, which will enable you to control music.

3. Press the voice button. If you do not press this button, SYNC will not hear you speak.

4. SYNC will prompt you for a command. When you hear a single note and the display shows “listening”, speak your command in the direction of the microphone.

5. Continue to give commands as prompted until the sequence is finished. If SYNC displays a “success” or “failure” message, the voice session is over.

6. If you wish to start a new session, press the voice button again.
