Automotive Technician

Bill Colwell Ford is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team at our brand new, state-of-the-art facility complete with air conditioning and advanced scheduling software.

As an Automotive Technician/Mechanic you will be responsible for performing factory recommended maintenance services, including multi-point inspections, fluid changes, and tire and brake services. Additionally, you will be responsible to check any customer vehicle concerns and accurately prescribe correct repair action(s), and promptly deliver the required service. You will be expected to operate at the facility in accordance with all company policies and procedures. It is critical that all your work is performed in a professional manner with the highest level of customer satisfaction. Excellent attention to detail and solid communication skills are a must for this position. You will play a crucial role in daily operations of the facility.

This is an opportunity for a motivated, driven individual with previous auto technician experience or factory training to start a rewarding career and join the Bill Colwell Ford team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform factory recommended maintenance services, including multi-point inspections, fluid changes, and tire and brake services on all makes and models.
  • Properly fill out all forms and inspection sheets, noting any concerns.
  • Communicate with Service Advisors on any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Ensure high quality service is provided to every customer.
  • Work in a quick and proficient manner to ensure work is accomplished and flows smoothly and continuously.
  • Stay up to date with Ford Technician Training and anything required by the dealership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional working environment.
  • Generate pride and commitment within the Service Department that creates a team atmosphere both within the Service Department and across other departments.
Requirements:
  • Organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and process information
  • Strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work independently and effectively work with a team
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Experience/Education:
  • Minimum of high school degree or equivalent

Sales Representative

As a Bill Colwell Ford Sales Representative your main responsibility will be to meet with prospective buyers and assist them in making their purchasing decisions. You will accomplish this by identifying their needs and wants and then match them with a solution that best fits their situation. You do not need to be an expert in cars to apply - we are looking for an expert of people. We have a great team that has fun, sells cars with integrity, and most importantly, takes care of the customer. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, driven individual to join one of the highest volume sales teams in the Cedar Valley, expand their skills, and increase their income!
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a positive, first impression to each guest with a warm, friendly greeting
  • Help customer with vehicle selection by being knowledgeable on vehicle characteristics, capabilities, and features. Must also be able to compare and contrast competitive models. 
  • Close sales by overcoming objections, negotiating price, and asking for the sale 
  • Consult with the sales manager throughout the buying process with a customer
  • Help facilitates delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle features and dealership benefits
  • Follow-up with the customer to ensure vehicle is operating as anticipated, troubleshoot any potential problems, and build rapport. Maintain a relationship to encourage repeat and referral business. 
  • Develop your career by establishing personal goals that are consistent with the productivity requirements of the dealership
  • Attend training and sales meetings offered by the dealership and manufacturers
  • Generate pride and commitment throughout Bill Colwell Ford that creates a team atmosphere both with the Sales Department and across other departments
Experience/Education:
  • Minimum of high school degree or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a customer service position preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, preference given to marketing, sales, communication, public relations, business, or psychology 
Requirements:
As a successful Sales Representative at Bill Colwell Ford you must be able to finalize a sale with a high percentage of customers who walk into the dealership. This requires interpersonal, communication, and strong negotiating skills; as well as a keen sensitivity to the customer's wants and needs. You must also be able to generate your own prospects, which requires self-discipline and persistence. If you can quickly introduce yourself to a stranger and establish common ground and rapport, you're on your way to a sale. Additional requirements include:
  • Initiative - You must be a self-starter in approaching customers at the dealership. You must have the ability to prospect in person, over the phone, email or text and be an effective manager of your time.
  • Social and Communication Skills - Since customer contact is so critical, it is essential that you enjoy talking with people and know how to interpret their needs. You must be able to help customers through each step of our process, which requires conveying information clearly and convincingly and have the ability to ask the customer to buy. 
  • Organization - It is critical that you maintain accurate sales documentation for the dealership and proper follow-up. Must have the ability to plan and organize your own daily selling activity by scheduling appointments to secure new business. 
  • Professionalism - Uphold and preserve the very high ethical standards set by the dealership. Commit to earning and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Always present yourself, the company, and its product in a professional manner. 
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.  
  • Must pass background check.
