Customer Service Advisor/Writer

We are looking for someone who is genuinely excited to help customers!  At Bill Colwell Ford, the Customer Service Advisor is the first point of contact between the customer and the service department. This key position will help our customers have a great experience. You will help our customers maintain, understand, and love their vehicles.  You do not need to be an expert in cars to apply - we are looking for an expert of people. You must have exceptional communication, leadership, and sales skills. Every day is different at Bill Colwell Ford, and we're looking for someone up for the challenge. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and the opportunity for commission bonuses.  

Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Customer Service
  • Handle large amounts of incoming calls quickly, and in a warm and friendly manner
  • Deliver a positive, first impression to each guest with a warm, friendly greeting
  • Listen to customers, identify and assess needs or problems, then prepares repair order (RO) for the technician, making sure to note all customer concerns
  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records; explaining provisions and exclusions
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Promptly communicate with customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
  • Reviews the multi-point inspection and then presents the recommended maintenance or repair(s) from the technicians to the customer
  • Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
2) Service Department Operations
  • Maintain a smooth running and efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Assign jobs to technician based on skill level and current resource utilization
  • Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
  • Open and close all customer pay, warranty, and internal repair orders. Perform cashier functions as needed.
  • Maintain legible and accurate notes for owner follow-up
  • Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for service and parts management
  • Other duties as assigned

Finance & Insurance Sales Specialist

We are looking for someone who is genuinely excited to help customers! This is a key position that will help ensure our customers have a great buying experience. As an Automotive Finance and Insurance Specialist at Bill Colwell Ford, your main responsibility is to introduce and sell the dealership's financing options, insurance alternative such as vehicle service contracts, and a variety of other products that are beneficial to the customers' ownership experience. You do not need to be an expert in cars to apply - we are looking for an expert of people. We are seeking individuals who are experienced in giving exceptional customer service, have the drive to earn an unlimited income, and have the desire to be the best in the industry. Every day is different at Bill Colwell Ford and we're looking for someone up for the challenge. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish a positive relationship with customers as they are presented products and services, resulting in repeat and referrals business
  • Present and sell financing for the vehicle, extended warranties, credit insurance, GAP insurance and other beneficial products offered by the dealership
  • Meet monthly forecast for finance and insurance income, penetration levels and customer satisfaction index (CSI)
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors
  • Enhance customer satisfaction during the entire purchase experience.
  • Take active role as part of dealer leadership team
  • Determine the customer's need for financing and explore payment options.
  • Establish and maintain strong relations with our customers and lenders
  • Secure and finalize transactions in a legal and ethical manner while maintain a high level of productivity
  • Accurately prepare all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to the transaction and submits to the dealership's Accounting Department in a timely manner
  • Oversee dealership customer loan origination and approval process

Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of high school degree or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a customer service position preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Previous experience will be considered in lieu of college degree

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills with a sales orientation
  • Great attitude with high-energy and outgoing personality

Sales Representative

As a Bill Colwell Ford Sales Representative your main responsibility will be to meet with prospective buyers and assist them in making their purchasing decisions. You will accomplish this by identifying their needs and wants and then match them with a solution that best fits their situation. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a positive, first impression to each guest with a warm, friendly greeting
  • Help customer with vehicle selection by being knowledgeable on vehicle characteristics, capabilities, and features. Must also be able to compare and contrast competitive models. 
  • Close sales by overcoming objections, negotiating price, and asking for the sale 
  • Consult with the sales manager throughout the buying process with a customer
  • Help facilitates delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle features and dealership benefits
  • Follow-up with the customer to ensure vehicle is operating as anticipated, troubleshoot any potential problems, and build rapport. Maintain a relationship to encourage repeat and referral business. 
  • Develop your career by establishing personal goals that are consistent with the productivity requirements of the dealership
  • Attend training and sales meetings offered by the dealership and manufacturers

Experience/Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, preference given to marketing, sales, communication, public relations, business, or psychology 
Requirements:
As a successful Sales Representative at Bill Colwell Ford you must be able to finalize a sale with a high percentage of customers who walk into the dealership. This requires interpersonal, communication, and strong negotiating skills; as well as a keen sensitivity to the customer's wants and needs. You must also be able to generate your own prospects, which requires self-discipline and persistence. If you can quickly introduce yourself to a stranger and establish common ground and rapport, you're on your way to a sale. Additional requirements include:
  • Initiative - You must be a self-starter in approaching customers at the dealership. You must have the ability to prospect in person, over the phone, email or text and be an effective manager of your time.
  • Social and Communication Skills - Since customer contact is so critical, it is essential that you enjoy talking with people and know how to interpret their needs. You must be able to help customers through each step of our process, which requires conveying information clearly and convincingly and have the ability to ask the customer to buy. 
  • Organization - It is critical that you maintain accurate sales documentation for the dealership and proper follow-up. Must have the ability to plan and organize your own daily selling activity by scheduling appointments to secure new business. 
  • Professionalism - Uphold and preserve the very high ethical standards set by the dealership. Commit to earning and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Always present yourself, the company, and its product in a professional manner. 
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Quick Lane Automotive Technician

The Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center, located at Bill Colwell Ford, is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team at our brand new, state-of-the-art facility complete with air conditioning and advanced scheduling software. 

As a Quick Lane Automotive Technician/Mechanic you will be responsible for performing factory recommended maintenance services, including multi-point inspections, fluid changes, and tire and brake services. Additionally, you will be responsible to check any customer vehicle concerns and accurately prescribe correct repair action(s), and promptly deliver the required service. You will be expected to operate at the facility in accordance with all company policies and procedures. It is critical that all your work is performed in a professional manner with the highest level of customer satisfaction. Excellent attention to detail and solid communication skills are a must for this position. You will play a crucial role in daily operations of the facility.

This is an opportunity for a motivated, driven individual with previous auto technician experience or factory training to start a rewarding career and join the Quick Lane team. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform factory recommended maintenance services, including multi-point inspections, fluid changes, and tire and brake services on all makes and models.
  • Properly fill out all forms and inspection sheets, noting any concerns.
