The Hudson chapter of the National Honor Society held a mini dance marathon fundraiser on February 1st, 2020. This mini dance marathon supports the University of Northern Iowa Dance Marathon, which raises money for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network. Hudson’s dance marathon featured activities like dancing, board games, gym games, concessions, and raffles.
Hudson’s goal was to raise $3,500 this year. Through pledged donations from the high school students themselves, donations from the school staff and community, plus a $300 donation from Bill Colwell Ford, they managed to surpass their goal for a total of $3,557.72!
Bill Colwell Ford is proud to take part in supporting our local schools as they help thousands of children who need it most.
All money that is raised through the UNI Dance Marathon is put toward supporting research, education, equipment and enhancements for the hospital, which helps children with life-threatening illnesses, developmental disabilities, and traumatic injuries. The Children's Miracle Network is a North American nonprofit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research, and community awareness of children's health issues.
